AKB48 Group Rinji Soukai ~Shirokuro Tsukeyou Janai ka~

AKB48 Group Rinji Soukai ~Shirokuro Tsukeyou Janai ka~AKB48 Group Rinji Soukai ~Shirokuro Tsukeyou Janai ka~ (AKB48グループ臨時総会 〜白黒つけようじゃないか!〜) will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 25.

AKB48 Group Rinji Soukai ~Shirokuro Tsukeyou Janai ka~, also known as AKB48 Fair (AKB48フェア), was held on April 25-28 at Nippon Budokan.

AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, and HKT48 performed at the live.

Each edition includes 3 concerts : 2 live performances with all groups, and another one with only one of them.

The DVD and the Blu-ray also feature making-of footage.

AKB48 Janken Tournament 2013

AKB48AKB48 Janken Tournament 2013 (AKB48 34thシングル選抜じゃんけん大会) will be held on September 18.

The event will take place at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.

The top 16 members will be featured in AKB48’s 34th single to be released in late 2013. The winner will get the center position.

It will be the 4th edition of the annual event.

The AKB48 Janken Tournament was won by Uchida Mayumi in 2010, Shinoda Mariko in 2011, and Shimazaki Haruka in 2012.

SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, and Kenkyuusei will participate in the competition in addition to the regular members of AKB48. However, only a limited number of members from each sister group will be selected after a preliminary round.

AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2013 Results

AKB48Sashihara Rino won the 5th AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2013. Oshima Yuko and Watanabe Mayu came in 2nd and 3rd position.

The first 64 members are selected to perform in AKB48’s 32nd single will be released on August 21.

Shinoda Mariko announced her graduation from AKB48.

The AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo (AKB48 32ndシングル 選抜総選挙) was held on June 8 at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama.

AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2013 on YouTube

AKB48The 5th AKB48 Senbatsu Election 2013 will be live streamed on AKB48 official YouTube channel.

This special program will start broadcasting on June 8 at 17:15 (Japan time).

Fans can send cheering message to the members through Google+ and YouTube. The messages can be sent from June 4 to 8. They will be picked up on the screen before the start of the AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo (AKB48 32ndシングル 選抜総選挙).

NMB48 – Bokura no Eureka

NMB48 - Bokura no EurekaNMB48’s 7th single Bokura no Eureka (僕らのユリイカ) will be released on June 19.

3 editions are available. They come with a DVD featuring 2 versions of the music video and bonus footage.

The coupling songs are different for each edition.

The Senbatsu, Shirogumi, and Akagumi members have also been announced.

AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo : Preliminary Results

AKB48AKB48’s website published the preliminary results of the AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo (AKB48 32ndシングル　選抜総選挙).

Sashihara Rino is ranked 1st with 28 563 votes. Watanabe Mayu and Oshima Yuko come in 2nd and 3rd position.

Check out the ranking with some other surprises.

The final results of the 5th Senbatsu Election 2013 will be announced on June 8.

Moreover, according to Oricon, 1 450 881 copies of the single Sayonara Crawl (さよならクロール) were sold on its first day sale.

NMB48 Geinin The Movie

NMB48 Geinin The MovieNMB48 Geinin The Movie Owarai Seishun Girls! (NMB48 げいにん！ The Movie お笑い青春ガールズ！) will be released in Japanese theaters on August 1.

As its title suggests, the movie is based on the TV show NMB48 Geinin airing on Nippon Television (NTV). In the show, NMB48 members such as Yamamoto Sayaka or Watanabe Miyuki play the roles of the members of a comedy club at Namba Girls School (なんば女学院).

Yamamoto Hitomi to graduate from NMB48

Yamamoto Hitomi (NMB48)Yamamoto Hitomi announced her graduation from NMB48. The announcement was made on May 1 during NMB48 Team M 1st Stage Idol no Yoake (アイドルの夜明け). She will leave the group on May 30.

She explained that she took this decision to focus on her studies as she is going to take the high school examination next spring.

Yamamoto Hitomi joined NMB48 as a 2nd generation member in August 2011. She was promoted from Kenkyuusei to Team M in October 2012.

AKB48 – 5 Major Domes Concert Tour and Team Changes

AKB48On the last day of the event AKB48 Group Rinji Soukai ~Shiro Kuro Tsukeyoujanaika!~ (AKB48グループ臨時総会～白黒つけようじゃないか！～) held at Nippon Budokan, it was announced that AKB48 will hold a concert tour in the 5 major Domes of Japan title AKB48 2013 Manatsu no Dome Tour ~Madamada, Yara Nakyaikenai Koto ga Aru~ (AKB48 2013真夏のドームツアー ～まだまだ、やらなきゃいけないことがある～) .

The concerts will take place in Fukuoka, Sapporo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo between July and August.

Moreover, some important team changes have been announced. Sashihara Rino has also been promoted to HKT48 Theater manager in addition to her activities as a member.
